Using Make-Ups

Most parents understand that when we take a booking into our program we are, in effect, reserving that spot for your child for the duration of the program and therefore, payment is required for each of those lessons. But what happens if you miss a lesson through sickness or any other reason?

At the DLSA, we work hard to offer and maintain what we believe to be 'family friendly' policies and procedures. One important part of these policies is our Make-Up Policy (MU's). So to get the most out of your time with DLSA, take a moment to understand how our MU policy works.

Here is some important quick facts about DLSA MU's:

1. MU's are available for missed lessons for whatever reason, provided notification has been received prior to the commencement of the scheduled lesson. This enables us to have that spot available for other swimmers looking for a MU.

2. You can accrue up to 4 MU's per child at any one time.

3. MU's must be finalised within 8 weeks of being accrued.

4. MU's accrued at the end of one program CAN be used as MU's in the next program.

5. No MU's can be booked within the first 2 weeks of a new program. The MU 8 weeks policy will be extended to any accrued MU transferring over from the previous program that may have expired in the first 2 weeks of the new Program.

6. In some cases, MU's can be done in advance. You can do a MU before the missed lesson if you are missing a lesson because your lesson falls on a public holiday or you will be away on holidays for a period of time.

7. Please Note: Full bookings take priority over booked MU's. In some cases we may need to reschedule a booked MU lesson if that space is required to enable a full booking.

8. If you simply do not have the time to do a MU you can receive a $4 credit for up to 4 MU's per child towards your account. MU's can not be used as a credit for lessons.

Using MU's in our Booster Block Programs

With the DLSA Perpetual Program our Private Program continues all year round with only a 2 week break at Christmas and a 1 week break at Easter.

Often families will go away on holidays during the school holidays throughout the year. That's not a problem! Any missed lesson can be taken as a MU and you can also do those lessons as part of the DLSA Booster Block Program.

Using the Booster Block Program to catch up on accrued MU's is quick and easy. We can accept MU's into a Booster Block week AFTER the completition of the Monday lesson.
