HEALTH MATTERS

As a matter of education and awareness, the Darling Downs Public Health Unit (DDPHU) has asked us to provide the following information to DLSA families

CRYPTOSPORIDIUM (CRYPTO) FOUND THROUGHOUT SOUTHEAST QLD

Since the beginning of March we have been tracking the recent outbreak of crypto found at various public facilities throughout SE Qld.

To further protect our DLSA families throughout this time, the DLSA has:

  • Increased our super chlorination protocols to weekly doses.

  • Increased facility signage to educate families.

  • Modified our Make-Up Policy to make it easier NOT to attend lessons if a swimmer has experienced symptoms.

  • Educated our Team about the facts regarding crypto.

Please review the following fact sheets and various information posters provided to us by Darling Downs Health.

PARENTS PLEASE NOTE:

It is IMPERATIVE that you or

any member of your family

DO NOT SWIM

if they have been diagnosed with

crypto or diarrhoea for

14 DAYS AFTER

SYMPTOMS HAVE ABATED

Together we can keep all our
DLSA families healthy & safe
