A THANKS From Darren Lange

Just wanted to take a moment to say a huge THANKS to our wonderful families for their support throughout this HIGH COVID ALERT LEVEL period of time. It’s been great to see the swimmers continue their Water Safety Journey this week despite all that is happening around us.

It’s easy to feel anxious and a little scared about what is going on and what the future will be, but I want you to remember, you are not alone and… #ThisTooShallPass.

The DLSA is well prepared to maintain a safe and healthy swimming environment. We are proactive in doing everything we can to keep you and your family safe while attending your lessons.

Hats off to our Hygiene Officers… You will see these Team Members moving around our facilities in hi-vis vests busily disinfecting high contact surfaces, CONSTANTLY.

As you know, face masks are mandatory for people over 12 years of age, unless you have an exemption. If you have an exemption, please don’t be offended if one of our Team check in with you about this. Again, Team DLSA is focussed on being proactive about keeping all of our families and the rest of our Team safe and healthy.

We are continuing to review what we do and how we can do it better. In the coming days we will be letting you know about a range of initiatives that will reduce your face-to-face time with our Admin Team. Today, antibacterial wipe dispensers were installed throughout our facility at Wilsonton and will be installed at Centenary Heights next week.

Learning to swim is an ESSENTIAL skill for LIFE for our children. A skill indeed, that can SAVE THEIR LIFE. For this reason, we will continue to work hard to provide you with a SAFE AND HEALTHY swimming environment throughout this time.

Finally, I am incredibly proud of how our Team is working throughout this time. There is a level of fear and anxiety in our community right now and my Team are not immune to this. We are mothers and fathers, daughters and sons, brothers and sisters. But we are focussed on remaining mindful, doing the things today that can help to maintain our program for tomorrow and the days and weeks ahead, all the time remembering… #ThisTooShallPass
